Philly MTCC Ride Leader Training
DESCRIPTION
Calling all aspiring Ride Leaders – we are hosting ride leader training to boost the number and variety of club ride offered through the year. As a leader you can enhance the cycling experience for others, and make the group ride safer, more enjoyable and assessable for all levels.
As an added bonus – Club Ride Leaders may participate in our Philly MTCC Ride Leader Awards Program and receive a FREE custom Philly MTCC Ride Leader jersey. This one of a kind jersey is only available to ride leaders that met the program criteria.
Training will be conducted in three parts:
- At home study focusing on Club Ride essentials – Must complete BEFORE your selected training date
- Pre work sessions, quiz and completion certificates
- Access the Free Savvy Cyclist Short Course ~45 minutes long
- Access the Free Savvy Cyclist Club Rider Essentials Course ~1 hour long
2. In Person Training and Ride Session:
Course work followed by a demonstration ride. Bring your Bike and essentials for a one hour demonstration ride. In the event of inclement weather, additional indoor video and simulation training will be provided. Bring Notepads and pens.
- Course Work 9 AM – 12:00 PM
- Review of leadership responsibilities
- Safety Tips and reminders
- Review of Philly MTCC Club Ride Leader Resources
- Demonstration Ride/Indoor Session 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM to reinforce Course Work
Two Options for In Person Training
