When you ride the ACS Bike-A-Thon: Bridge to the Beach, each mile becomes a tribute a symbol of love, strength, and hope. You‘re not just cycling; you‘re joining a powerful community of athletes, all bound by the mission to end cancer. Whether you ride to honor someone still fighting or to remember a loved one gone too soon, you‘re carrying their spirit with you on every mile of this journey.
For over 50 years, the ACS Bike-A-Thon: Bridge to the Beach has been more than a ride it‘s been a movement. A movement that‘s saved lives, sparked breakthroughs, and restored hope. On June 1, 2025, our fight continues.
As long as there are patients waiting for a cure, as long as there‘s hope to give, we ride. Together. Join us for the 53rd annual ACS Bike-A-Thon: Bridge to the Beach ride. Let‘s keep pushing forward mile after mile until we end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
We’re hitting the Jack A. Markell Trail (The JAM) — a scenic, smooth ride along wetlands, bridges, and tree-lined paths. A perfect evening ride to unwind, connect, and cruise.
Led by Dawn and Karen - contact either for ride details. C Pace - 16-18 MPH
All are welcome — bring your good vibes and strong legs! Let’s ride!

Four Points by Sheraton Newark Christiana Wilmington
Join us for the ultimate challenge - 200 miles - in One Day!
This is a 200-mile one-day flat ride!
The ride will begin and end at the Four Points by Sheraton Newark Christiana Wilmington.
The ride starts at 4:30 AM. Unless you live nearby, I highly recommend booking a room for the night before. I will be booking one after that too (I won‘t feel like driving home).
Cost:
The event is free, but we will ask to split the SAG stocking cost, gas, plus a nice tip for the driver.
Other costs include your hotel expenses and any purchases made at rest stops.
RIDE INFORMATION:
We will schedule a pre-ride meeting with registered riders; however, the following information is also available below.
I will also share the Longest Day WhatsApp chat link so that you can ask questions there as well.
This is a steady ride, not a fast ride. We will use strategies so we all stay on pace.
For example, keeping stronger riders at the front of the pacelines and resting weaker ones. If riders fall back or need an extra long rest, we can SAG them to the next rest stop so they can leapfrog.
