This beautiful ride will improve your climbing!

This is an 80-mile route with 7000 feet /20+ miles of climbing. While the first 40 miles includes over 20 miles of climbs, the 2 miles climb that starts the 2nd 40 miles is the biggest challenge, with the last 1/4 mile peaking around 20%!

A more manageable option for those who want a challenge (but are not nuts) is to climb as far as you want up Skyline Drive and ride back down the mountain when you are done.  The 80-mile route is a long day in the saddle.

During the ride, you will need money to eat at the rest stops and at least $15 to enter the park.

After the ride, we meet up at PavMint for some delicious BBQ.

Getting there:

Front Royal is 4 hours from Philly, so you will have to leave before 4:30 am to make a 9:00 am start. Or, drive down the night before. NOTE: in the past, several people missed the ride because of unexpected morning delays.
